I was a little worried about the pass but as soon as the sun came out it heated up and it became a pretty day to drive through the Sisquiyous. I just love that part of California!
My very favorite is actually Mt. Shasta, maybe because you can get so close to it and it dominates the whole valley.
Certainly it makes up for the rather boring part on I5 after Redding. It goes on and on and I’m glad that it gets dark, so I don’t have to look into the flat emptiness.
I’m tired and am looking forward to arriving in the foothills where I stay with my friends Evo & Juliana.
